Title: TITANIC WORLD EXHIBITION – The True Story of the Titanic
Venue: Hodonínska 27, Bratislava
Organizer: Sport Mall, Hodonínska 27, Bratislava
Event Description:
The Titanic World Exhibition returns to Slovakia – back in Bratislava after ten years!
At this grand exhibition, you’ll discover the fate of the legendary Titanic and its passengers, as well as the turbulent era of technological inventions and the socio-political climate of the early 20th century.
Covering an area of 3,500 m², the exhibition opens on February 20, 2025, at Sport Mall Bratislava Lamač.
The Titanic was the largest transatlantic passenger ship of its time and a symbol of the technological revolution. It was built to transport passengers and mail between Europe and North America. However, during its maiden voyage, the Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, taking over 1,500 lives.
At this exclusive exhibition, you will see more than 200 original artifacts recovered from the famous wreck on the ocean floor. Exhibits include parts of the ship’s equipment, furniture, porcelain, and personal belongings of passengers (jewelry, handbags, and clothing). Thanks to perfectly reconstructed cabins, the engine room, and the dining hall, you will experience both the luxury and hardship aboard the legendary ocean liner. You’ll witness the grandeur of period interiors, the roar of machinery, and the haunting tension of an approaching real-life tragedy.
The personal stories of passengers and the impressive number of real artifacts make this Titanic exhibition one of the most popular in the world.
Every visitor receives a “boarding pass” upon entry – a ticket bearing the name of an actual Titanic passenger. As you tour the exhibition, you’ll follow the experience of this person aboard the ill-fated ship.
An audio guide will be available, offering detailed commentary on each exhibit. For curious minds – especially students – there will be special worksheets highlighting major events in politics, science, and culture at the start of the 20th century, along with interactive knowledge quizzes.
The exhibition not only delves deep into the Titanic’s legacy but also paints a broader picture of the social and political atmosphere in Slovakia and the world at the time. It sheds light on the mass migration wave, when thousands fled poverty and the looming First World War in search of a better life in America.
Tickets are sold for specific dates and times, helping visitors avoid long queues. Group reservations, such as for schools, include priority booking, discounted admission, and free entry for accompanying teachers.
Book your tickets today and experience the Titanic for yourself!
