THE AXES HAVE BLOOMED
A black comedy set in a panel building (Soviet-style apartment complex).
A typical family. The father steals newspapers from the neighbors’ mailboxes and, after reading them, irons them so they don’t notice. The mother watches a villa across the street with binoculars and is terribly jealous because it was built by a former colleague from work. The son is first an ecologist, then a believer, and finally an extremist. And the owner of a café falls in love with the disabled daughter while learning to play the saw.
A very dark grotesque about savage people in savage times.
