SCANDI is a festival showcasing contemporary Nordic films. The 11th edition will take place from January 22 to January 29, 2025, not only in Bratislava but also in other Slovak regions.

The program includes screenings of eleven of the latest Scandinavian films, which will be presented as Slovak premieres, along with accompanying events related to selected films. These include discussion formats like Okrúhly stôl (Round Table) with Michal Havran and a discussion in collaboration with the Prítomie podcast.

The festival aims to introduce the diversity and richness of contemporary Scandinavian cinema. The focus is on films that have been successful at festivals or well-received by local audiences and film critics. The selected films span various genres and stimulate discussions on pressing societal issues.

The festival is organized by the experienced team at Film Europe, from the selection of films to discussions with guests. SCANDI was founded in 2014 by Ivan Hronec with the goal of bringing Nordic culture closer to Slovak and Czech audiences.
