Pissarro became one of the founders of Impressionism, and his influence on the art world is profound. His paintings depict rural scenes, city streets, and nature with delicate details and playful colors. He was a master at conveying atmosphere and mood in his works.

The documentary film “Pissarro – The Father of Impressionism” takes place in the oldest museum in the United Kingdom — the Ashmolean Museum — which holds an extensive collection of Pissarro’s artworks.
