The film “Picasso – Rebel in Paris” tells the story of this pivotal period in the life of the world-famous painter, offering an unprecedented look at his work and artistic creation, while also sketching a portrait of his complex personality. The film was made to mark the 50th anniversary of Picasso’s death. Actress Mina Kavani, together with the audience in cinemas, takes a journey through the entire Musée Picasso, which holds the largest existing collection dedicated to the painter, with 6,000 works and 200,000 pieces of archival material. She also follows Picasso’s footsteps through the Parisian neighborhoods where he lived—starting from his early days in unheated studios to his later luxurious apartments in the city’s central districts—and seeks a deeper understanding of his work and spirit.
