Kristina Barta
A versatile Czech musician, Kristina Barta blends classical training with jazz innovation. Known for her expressive piano compositions and dynamic stage presence, she has gained international recognition at prestigious events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and Jazzahead!.

Her style has been described as fiery, articulate, expressive, and bold. Barta began her musical career as an oboist before transitioning to piano, eventually becoming a prominent member of the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra.

She has won several awards, including first place in the Czech Jazz Composition Competition (2016) and Outstanding Pianist at Poland’s Powiew Młodego Jazzu festival (2017).

Her latest album, Red Landscape, features seven original compositions and reinterpretations of Czech and Ukrainian folk songs. Currently, she is working on a new album with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and a jazz sextet, including guitarist David Dorůžka and saxophonist Jure Pukl. Barta also founded the Prague Impro Room festival in 2024.


Martin Uherek
Martin Uherek is a respected Slovak jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator. Known for his melodic playing and emotionally rich musical storytelling, he brings a thoughtful, sophisticated voice to the jazz scene.

His arrangements have been performed by major ensembles such as the Lukáš Oravecký Orchestra and the Gustav Brom Orchestra. His original compositions for saxophone quintet have been recorded by Deux Sax Machina.

As a teacher at the Conservatory in Banská Bystrica, Uherek actively supports the development of young jazz musicians through masterclasses and workshops.


Jazzinfection Trio with Sisa Michalidesová

This trio is known for its unique blend of jazz with elements of world music, traditional folk, and theatrical influences. Their performances are marked by strong improvisation, dynamic interaction, and musical storytelling, offering audiences a rich and layered listening experience.


Patrícia Páleníčková & Traditional & Revival Band Vlado Vizár
This leading Slovak jazz and swing orchestra has a history dating back to 1961 with the foundation of the Traditional Club Bratislava, followed in 1962 by the Revival Jazz Band Bratislava.

Originally formed by students from Bratislava’s universities, the ensemble has evolved into one of the most prominent professional traditional jazz bands in Slovakia and Europe, praised for its authenticity and vibrant live performances.
