Event description:

Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino has created a magnificent cinematic treatise on human beauty, as well as a love letter to his hometown of Naples.

Paolo Sorrentino is considered one of the most important filmmakers in contemporary Italian cinema. Known for visually stunning dramas, which up until now have been centered around male characters, Parthenope places a captivating woman at the center of the story, whose fate we follow across several chapters. From her birth in 1950 in the Bay of Naples, where, according to legend, the siren of the same name died, to the present day.

Just as the siren lured sailors with her voice, Parthenope captivates the viewer with her appearance and behavior, urging them to follow her. Not to the depths of the sea, but on the journey of her life—one filled with the carefree nature of youth, a constant longing for freedom, and various forms of love. And in the background, always near yet far, is Naples. An unforgettable city that enchants, entertains, and can also hurt.

The film will be screened in 4K resolution at the K1 and K2 theaters.
