November in Bratislava traditionally belongs to the Month of Photography. The 34th edition will feature nearly thirty exhibitions, each offering a different emotional experience. The festival is highlighted by extensive exhibitions by Martin Parr, ‘Chronicler,’ and Rudolf Koppitz, ‘Photogenie,’ both installed in the House of Art.
The Month of Photography is historically the oldest and largest, and the only curatorially conceived festival of photography and visual arts in Slovakia. The festival traditionally focuses on global photographic developments, contemporary photography in the Central and Eastern European space, as well as photographic work in Slovakia. The aim of the festival is to make photographic art accessible to the widest possible public.
