The Melos-Étos Festival has been the largest Slovak showcase of domestic and foreign contemporary works since its inception in 1991, occurring in biennial cycles. Its origins are directly related to the events of November 1989, which relaxed restrictions on musical dramaturgy, poetics, and ideological circles of the time’s creative and musical events.
The main organizer of the festival is the Music Center – a state-funded organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, in collaboration with the Slovak Philharmonic and Slovak Radio and Television.
Festival passes or tickets for individual concerts are available online at Ticketportal or one hour before the concert at the venue.
