Leonardo da Vinci is considered the world’s most beloved artist. Many TV programs and feature films have been dedicated to this extraordinary genius, but often the most important aspect is overlooked: his art. The new film Leonardo: Most Famous Works focuses primarily on his unique paintings and drawings, including the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Lady with an Ermine, Portrait of Ginevra de’ Benci, Madonna of the Rocks, and more than a hundred others.
The documentary also offers a fresh perspective on Leonardo’s life—his inventiveness, sculpting skills, and military foresight. The film, released to mark the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s death, is the first to tell his entire story.
