Chamber Music from the Kremsmünster Monastery
Performed by the early music ensemble Le nuove musiche consisting of:
- Antonia Ortner – soprano & psaltery
- Ján Kružliak – baroque violin
- Ferdinand Slezák – baroque violin
- Pavol Mucha – baroque cello
- Jakub Mitrík – mandora, artistic director
The Le nuove musiche ensemble will perform chamber music from the 18th century in a program titled Lauthenconcert, dedicated to string instruments accompanied by the lute or the unique mandora. In addition to the Lauthenconcert form, you will have the opportunity to hear unknown music from the Austrian Kremsmünster Monastery by composers such as Matthias Sigismund Biechteler, Franz Xaver Süßmayr, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert will also feature the world premiere of mandora music from Kremsmünster. Along with prominent domestic instrumentalists, Austrian soprano Antonia Ortner, who also plays the psaltery, will perform.
The concert is also linked to the presentation of the CD Mandora: The Lute of the Monasteries.
