Pissarro became one of the founders of Impressionism, and his influence on the art world is significant. His paintings depict rural scenes, city streets, and nature with delicate details and playful colors. He was a master at conveying atmosphere and mood through his works.
The documentary “Pissarro – The Father of Impressionism” takes place in the oldest museum in the United Kingdom — the Ashmolean Museum — which houses an extensive collection of Pissarro’s artworks.
