Basic Information about Studying at an Elementary Art School. An Elementary Art School (EAS) can organize studies for preschool children, elementary and secondary school students, and adults. Simultaneously, it provides basic artistic education and prepares for the study of art-oriented educational branches in secondary schools, conservatories, and colleges with a pedagogical or artistic focus.
The Elementary Art School organizes:
Preparatory studies ,Basic studies Studies with an extended number of teaching hours ,Abbreviated studies Studies for adults. Teaching takes place both individually and in groups. The number of students in individual subjects is determined by the curriculum. The school’s director admits students to preparatory studies based on their potential in the chosen artistic field. Completing preparatory studies does not guarantee admission to basic studies.
For basic studies, abbreviated studies, and studies for adults, the school director admits students based on the results of a talent test. The director may also admit talented students who have either not yet reached or exceeded the recommended age in the curriculum for the art branch or field of study.
To assess the study prerequisites for applicants, the school director establishes a three-member admissions committee. Based on the committee’s recommendation, applicants who exceed the recommended age for studies can be placed in a higher than the first year. The school’s director admits students to extended studies based on successful commission examinations.

Payment of Study Expenses .
The amount of the monthly contribution towards the partial payment of study expenses at elementary art schools established by the municipality or self-governing region is determined by a generally binding regulation.
The contribution towards the partial payment of study expenses at elementary art schools is not required if a full-aged student or the legal guardian of a minor student submits a written request and is a member of a household receiving assistance due to financial need according to specific regulations. The exemption from the contribution applies only to the study of one artistic branch. Conditions for reducing, increasing, or exempting the contribution are determined by the founder.
