Event Description:
Hot South is a black comedy set in the Slovakian south.
With the profitability of growing peppers and tomatoes gone, a family in the region has turned to growing marijuana. Arpy manages the greenhouse, while Ila, a train guide, delivers the goods to clients. The local policeman, Zolo, protects the entire operation and is in love with Ildikó, who does not reciprocate his feelings. No one is satisfied with their life, and everyone dreams of leaving for somewhere far away, preferably Iceland. One day, an unknown girl appears in the greenhouse, and everything changes…

This absurd grotesque explores contemporary life, where none of us know what’s next. The uncertainty of today’s world makes us unpredictable fools.
