Event Description:

The prestigious international multicultural music festival (13th edition), founded in 2011 by Slovak saxophonist, composer, producer, and promoter Milo Suchomel, focuses on world music, jazz with ethnic elements, fusion music, and Roma music. The goal is to significantly enrich Slovak music culture through collaboration with renowned international artists. It also aims to connect world-class musicians with local talents, which has been successfully achieved for 11 years.

This year, the festival will feature world-renowned French virtuoso saxophonist Baptiste Herbin, who will be accompanied by the Milo Suchomel Orchestra, led by the festival’s organizer himself, Milo Suchomel. The orchestra will consist of renowned Slovak and international musicians. Also performing is notable Czech double bassist and bass guitarist Jozef Fečo, and highly sought-after Slovak jazz pianist Klaudius Kováč, who will be soloists with the orchestra.

The festival will also feature the traditional Jam Session, led by another prominent Slovak pianist, Andrej Farkaš, with his jazz trio. Don’t miss this evening packed with high-quality music, breathtaking instrumental performances, a vibrant atmosphere, excellent orchestral arrangements—some of which will be presented in their world premiere—and, above all, an evening full of art and a cultivated mood.

The festival has hosted artists such as Benny Golson (USA), Bill Evans (USA), Roby Lakatos (Hungary), Dotschy Reinhardt (Germany), Melanie Bong (Germany), Monika Lakatos (Hungary), Cigánski diabli (Slovakia), Barbora Botošová (Slovakia), Gail Anderson (USA), Ľubomír Gašpar (Slovakia), Drahoš Bango (Slovakia), Ján Fečo (Czech Republic), Milo Suchomel Orchestra, Dejan Krsmanovic (Serbia), Esma s Band (Macedonia), Rick Margitza (USA), Klaudius Kováč (Slovakia), Alan Bartuš (Slovakia), Jerry Bergonzi (USA), and many others.
