Employment of Third-Country Nationals in Slovakia. Who is allowed?

An employer can only employ a third-country national who:

  • holds a Blue Card of the European Union,
  • has been granted a temporary residence for employment based on confirmation of the possibility of filling a vacant job position,
  • holds a work permit and has been granted temporary residence for employment, as specified in Act No. 404/2011 Coll. on the Stay of Foreigners and amendments to certain laws, unless the law provides otherwise,
  • holds a work permit and has been granted temporary residence for family reunification,
  • holds a work permit and has been granted temporary residence as a third-country national who has been granted long-term resident status in a European Union member state, unless otherwise stipulated by the law on the stay of foreigners, or
  • does not require confirmation of the possibility to fill a vacant job position, holds a work permit corresponding to highly qualified employment, a confirmation of the possibility to fill a vacant job position and a work permit.

Our fees.

1. **Consultation Fee**  
   €50–€150 for an initial consultation to assess eligibility and explain the process.

2. **Service Packages**  
   – **Basic Package**: Document preparation and application submission (€500–€1,500).  
   – **Full-Service Package**: Includes eligibility assessment, document preparation, language test preparation, submission, and follow-up (€1,500–€3,000).  
   – **Complex Cases**: Ancestry, marriage, or special circumstances (€2,000–€5,000 or more).

3. **Hourly Rate**  
   – If the client prefers, an hourly rate (e.g., €50–€150/hour) for specific tasks.

4. **Additional Costs**  
   Third-party costs (e.g., translations, notarizations, language tests) that the client will need to cover separately.
