Modification of contact details in the document information system – identity cards.

Through this electronic service, you can change and update contact details (email address, mobile phone number) and the so-called discreet information recorded in the identity card agenda.

Reporting the loss or theft of a chip-based identity card.

You can save a trip to the police in case of a lost or stolen chip-based identity card. You can do so if you have entered discreet information through the Contact Details Modification service, which you must provide when reporting the loss or theft of the identity card.

Submitting a request for the issuance of an identity card abroad.

The service is intended for citizens of the Slovak Republic living abroad. Through the service, you can submit a request for an identity card to the relevant diplomatic mission of the Slovak Republic, where the applicant reserves a meeting for processing the application based on the country in which the citizen is located. The output of the service is the delivery of the identity card to the citizens of the Slovak Republic abroad.

Cancellation of logging in with a chip-based identity card.

If you have activated a chip-based identity card by entering the Personal Security Code (PSC) at the office of the documents of the district directorate of the Police Force, you can use it for logging in (authentication) to electronic services. If you decide to block the use of the chip-based identity card for logging in to electronic services, you can use the established electronic service for this purpose.

Verification of the validity of certificates issued on a chip-based identity card or a residence permit document for a foreigner with a chip.

With the service, you can verify which certificates have been issued for your identity card: authentication, encryption, or qualified, intended for the authorization of electronic documents signed with a qualified electronic signature. In case of need, you can also electronically revoke certificates. However, you can reinstate them free of charge only by a personal visit to the office of documents and records.

The quickest way is card payment, which can only be used with the new design of mailboxes.

After submitting the electronic request, the request is verified (which may take several hours), and then you receive a “Payment Order” in your mailbox. Upon successful processing of the payment, you will see information about the payment being realized. Later, you will receive a message confirming the payment.
