Event Description:
The film story of Karol Duchoň begins during the filming of a New Year’s Eve TV program in 1984, as a man whose world had recently been at his feet experiences his entire life flashing before his eyes in one night. We see how a boy from a rural band got the chance to play in clubs in the West, and how, after his return, he became an iconic pop star of the era overnight thanks to a single song. The most renowned composers and lyricists in Slovakia wrote for him, he won awards at the most prestigious competitions, and many international tours followed.
However, his huge success also begins to awaken his inner demons…
All of this unfolds accompanied by his greatest hits for the audience to experience.
