- Title: Cello Republic – Film Music Performed by a Unique Quartet of Cellists
- Location: Mýtna 1, Bratislava
- Organizer: Large Concert Studio of Slovak Radio, Bratislava
Event Description:
A unique quartet of cellists—winners of international competitions and passionate promoters of classical music. These musicians have gained fame both at home and abroad, on YouTube, and wherever they perform. They leave behind sold-out halls, unforgettable concert experiences, and millions of views.
Despite their completely different personalities and perspectives on life, two Concertmasters of the Czech Philharmonic, a crossover star, and a conservatory professor have joined forces with a shared goal: to present music as something current, alive, and as essential as the air we breathe.
They break away from the solemnity of traditional institutions and erase the boundary between stage and audience. Their concert, subtitled “No Limits,” pushes the technical boundaries of the cello while incorporating elements of stand-up comedy. They not only explain and comment on the music but also connect it to human stories and everyday anecdotes, making their performances accessible to both the general public and devoted classical music enthusiasts.
Their artistic vision remains unchanged—to perform music at the highest level, in uniquely crafted arrangements, and with a good dose of humor.
